Michael Schneider

Michael was born on April sixth 1952 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He and his family moved to Daytona Beach, Florida where Michael grew up and fell In love with music. When he was 13 he began playing the piano. Somewhat of a prodigy he excelled without any formal training and when he was 14, he began his musical career. Playing at local venues he began to have a following and was signed to a booking agent. Michael fronted for such bands as The Allman Brothers, Mel Torme, The Three Degrees, and The Royal Guardsmen.

At the age of 19, he Signed with Gaff Productions as a studio musician and wrote radio jingles for local companies and also scored music for Glen Lau Productions who Produced Western Outdoorsman. In the Eighties Michael won five American Songwriter Festival awards and toured with the Christian rock band Homeward Bound. He was also worship leader to many Calvary Chapels in Southern California. He wrote praise songs for the Philadelphia Praise Band and Tim Archer. Michael also worked with the jazz guitarist and composer Ric Flauding. He collaborated with actor Steven Seagal on other music projects as well.

Michael is currently worship leader at Calvary Chapel Boulder City and has performed at several churches in the Las Vegas area. Michael and his wife Lestie are presently involved in prison ministry. Together they serve with Southwest Prison Ministries, along with other community outreaches. Michael and Lestie’s long term vision has been to share, throug music and testimony, the love and hope we have in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, and to share The Gospel Truth to a dying world.
